CVD ZnSe (CVD Zinc Selenide) |
| Zinc selenide produced by method of chemical vapour deposition is a material of choice for a variety of IR applications. ZnSe is a clear yellow polycrystalline material with a grain size of 50-70µm. ZnSe is characterized by high transmission in the range 0.5-15µm and low absorption at 10.6µm. Due to these properties combined with a relatively high thermal resistance ZnSe is the most suitable material for high power CO2 laser systems. CVD ZnSe optics are indispensable in CO2 industrial engravers and medical laser systems.
